Harvey Mudd College has a few water recovery initiatives in place. These include: (1) replacing non-indigenous plants and trees with native drought tolerant plants and trees; (2) relocating and replacing certain sprinkler heads with more efficient sprinkler heads.


A brief description of the institution's initiatives to replace plumbing fixtures, fittings, appliances, equipment, and systems with water-efficient alternatives (e.g. building retrofits):

Harvey Mudd College has a drip irrigation system which uses significantly less water than the previously installed spray irrigation system. The installation was made to reduce water usage.
