Does the institution make cultural competence trainings and activities available to all students?:
Yes

A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:

The Office of Multicultural Affairs is dedicated to implementing
educational and cultural programs that improve campus climate and
enhance community life at Haverford.

The OMA provides opportunities for cultural exploration, dialogue,
personal reflection and leadership development by incorporating these
themes into the student life experience. We strive to provide a
comprehensive program to ensure that historically under-represented
groups in particular, and all Haverford students in general, will have
rich learning experiences in and outside the classroom.

In collaboration with individual students, student organizations,
faculty, and administrative staffs we work to facilitate academic,
personal, social, and cultural development and success in order to
create a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment.

The OMA strives to develop campus wide learning opportunities about
issues of diversity among students, faculty, and staff. We seek to
support student organizations and encourage students to be involved in
challenging discussions. The OMA supports leadership development
activities and trainings focusing on how to talk about tough issues
and build a vocabulary that allows us to interact over our
differences. Bring us your ideas and your critiques so that we can go
about the business of building a multicultural community.
