Haverford College over the last two years has competed in Campus Conservation nationals to draw student attention to electricity usage. Dorms competed against each other as well as another campus to incentivize conservation.
Electricity consumption was tracked for each competition and results shared showing both gross kWh and percentage reductions.
The College built out its traditional Earth Day events into an "Earth Week" to raise awareness around a range of sustainability topics in the curriculum, campus operations, and political engagement.
An electronics recycling event diverted one truck's worth of electronic waste out of the landfill.
