The campus has bike sheds where students can lock up their bikes. Showers are available for all faculty, staff and students who wish to use them. Currently, Haverford does not have bike lockers.

Students on the Committee for Environmental Responsibility created a pilot Blue Bike Share Program. A proposal was submitted to and approved by senior staff. A Terms and Conditions of Use and Release was generated and distributed to interested students. Four blue bikes were purchased along with safety equipment and bike locks. The students also created a Rules of the Program document. The committee is in the planning stage of creating a bike shelter specifically for the bike share program.

TransitChek, a pre-tax benefit for faculty and staff that allows individuals to purchase public transportation passes and tokens on a pre-tax basis.

Yes, two employees work permanently off site, and all managers have discretion to allow telecommuting of employees as duties permit.

Currently the college provides rental properties on campus for faculty. 70 percent of faculty live on campus.
The college also provides the following:
MORTGAGE PROGRAM
The mortgage aspect of the Faculty Housing Policy is an important buttress to the larger rental program. It encourages tenure-line and Continuing Appointment faculty who find College housing inappropriate for their families and who wish to own their own homes to locate near the College.

Abandoned bikes are collected regularly and sent to the Devereux Foundation where mentally challenged individuals are taught to refurbish them. They are then re-sold at affordable prices to community members in September.
