100

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

Web-based Employee Engagement Survey was conducted using SNAP Survey Professional and administered by the CSU Chancellors Office and distributed to all employees with a 49% response rate during spring semester 2014. Survey results were reported to the University community on November 5, 2014.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):

Results were used to highlight positive areas of work environment and to identify areas for additional inquiry or intervention. Results were used to inform the University's strategic plan. Specific improvements were made in recruitment strategies and in providing additional professional development opportunities, especially for staff. For example, the campus acquired Skillport, a content-based content delivery platform, which provides over 3500 online courses on various topics including computer programs, IT/HR certifications, and business skills along with a library of 20,000 e-books. Skillport can be accessed by all employees and becomes a component of an individualized professional development program.
