A brief description of steps taken to ensure that e-waste is recycled responsibly, workers’ basic safety is protected, and environmental standards are met:

The College works with a certified e-waste recycler to dispose of our e-waste.

The College researched several companies that handle e-waste in the Peoria, Illinois area and selected ATR Recycling. They are highly respected and a large company that can handle any and all recycling.


A brief description of the electronic waste recycling program for institution-generated materials:

The Technology Services department designates college equipment as waste and the Recycling Department will collect it and properly dispose of it.

College employees may turn in batteries, cell phones, CD's, and toner or ink cartridges to the Recycling Department for proper recycling.


A brief description of the electronic waste recycling program for student-generated materials :

The college has strategically placed collection boxes in highly used student areas for the collection of batteries, cell phones, and ink cartridges. The Recycling Department empties the boxes and recycles the e-waste.
