A brief summary of papers, guides, presentations, and other resources the institution has developed to share their sustainability experience with other institutions:

IIT sits on 2 collaborative organizations serving local higher education institutions. One is the south metropolitan higher education consortium serving 6 4-year colleges and 6 community colleges in the south region of Chicago. IIT coordinated a symposium with this body and produced a commitment from all members to reach levels of sustainability as defined by the state of Illinois. This organization meets quarterly throughout the year. IIT also sits on a working group of universities within the Chicago limits. This group is facilitated by the National wildlife federation.

WISER is serving as one of the university co-sponsors of the Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy, hosted by University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), Aug. 7-15, 2011. Several IIT WISER faculty affiliates will also serve as instructors for this short course.
