The SEVEN newsletter focuses on building sustainable people through seven key dimensions. Total body wellness encompasses emotional, environmental, intellectual, physical, social, spiritual, and vocational dimensions. These seven dimensions are the key to achieving a balanced, healthy, and happy life.

Illinois State University maintains a social media presence on both Facebook and Twitter. The Office of Sustainability and the Center for Renewable Energy both have their own Facebook and Twitter to better share sustainable campus features with tech-savvy students.

In addition to the website, the dining centers have digital signage that displays information about their sustainable practices, including Edible Economy, the food share program, and sourcing from local growers.

Water runoff is managed through bioswales and a rain garden, both of which have signage describing what they are and how they work. There is also signage from Grounds Management about no-mow zones and the Horticulture Center about the campus gardens.

ISU's campus is a Tree Campus USA institution and is home to 154 different species of trees native to Illinois. The Fell Arboretum also hosts an informational walking and self-guided tour.
