A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting:

ISU maintains records on the use of the city bus system which is free for ISU faculty, staff, and students with their ID. We have been studying our bicycle commuters and our Grounds Manager has been increasing the number of bicycle racks on campus every semester. We work with Enterprise for a carshare program and have made efforts through them for a vanpool/carpool program which is not yet active. Our campus parking permit system also tracks the number of cars and motorcycles.
