Does the institution have an institution-wide stated preference to purchase EPEAT Silver or higher computers and monitors?:
No

The website URL where the EPEAT policy, directive, or guidelines are posted :
---

A brief description of steps the institution has taken to ensure that the purchasing policy, directives, or guidelines are followed :

IU does not dictate the purchase of EPEAT computers and monitors, but has recently renegotiated their Dell agreement to ensure that the computer bundles offered to the campus meet or exceed industry standards in efficiency such as Energy Star 4 and EPEAT Gold. IUB has also negotiated a new Hewlett Packard agreement which includes the same language. There is no formal policy in place which requires departments to purchase energy efficient computers/monitors, but purchasing is driving our suppliers to offer those products to our campuses.

Does the institution wish to pursue points for Part 2 of this credit (expenditures on EPEAT computers)?:
Yes

Expenditures on EPEAT Gold desktop and laptop computers and monitors :
3,800,552.02 US/Canadian $

Expenditures on EPEAT Silver desktop and laptop computers and monitors :
32,160.62 US/Canadian $

Total expenditures on desktop and laptop computers and monitors :
4,770,094.11 US/Canadian $
