Yes

A brief description of the event(s):

Iowa State University holds an annual Symposium on Sustainability to highlight achievements and to promote sustainability on a university-wide level. Past symposiums have featured keynote lectures by prominent leaders in sustainability, both in policy and in business, sustainability award presentations, and student discussions related to sustainability. The symposium in 2012 varied in that it focused on celebrating, recognizing, and reflecting on the many accomplishments in sustainability at ISU since the beginning of the Live Green! Initiative in 2008. It was called Sustainapalooza, and featured remarks by Iowa State’s President, a poster session, and various presentations.
Iowa State has also held a lecture series on sustainability, called the Live Green! Sustainability Series. Speakers were identified with the ISU Committee on Lectures who presented on sustainability-related topics, and they were promoted through Live Green! All lectures were public and speakers ranged from university professors to leading authors.
