A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:

New employee orientation highlights various sustainability resources at Iowa State University. Every new staff member receives a brochure about recycling on campus, and representatives from different departments include information about carpooling, ride sharing, and local foods. Sustainability is also infused into the discussions during orientation, which describe the employee assistance program, well as wellness resources on campus and local food availability through ISU Dining. Finally, the Facilities Planning and Management Department provides specific information on how to conserve energy and other resources as an employee.
