Option 1: Total clean and renewable electricity generated on site during the performance year and for which the institution retains or has retired the associated environmental attributes :
0 MMBtu

Option 2: Non-electric renewable energy generated:
1,229 MMBtu

Option 3: Total clean and renewable electricity generated by off-site projects that the institution catalyzed and for which the institution retains or has retired the associated environmental attributes :
0 MMBtu

Option 4: Total RECs and other similar renewable energy products that the institution purchased during the performance year that are Green-e certified or meet the Green-e standard's technical requirements and are third party verified:
933.18 MMBtu

Option 5: Total electricity generated with co-generation technology using non-renewable fuel sources :
0 MMBtu

Total energy consumed during the performance year :
306,614.10 MMBtu

A brief description of on-site renewable electricity generating devices :

There are no building-integrated renewable energy electricity generating systems in place at this time.

A brief description of on-site renewable non-electric energy devices:

The Peggy R Williams Center features a geothermal heat pump system to meet all building heating and cooling needs. There are 36 500' deep geothermal wells near the building. Per Michelle Jones, Energy Manager, in 2010-11, the PRWC geothermal system produced the equivalent of 360,000 kWh in 2010-2011 or 1,229 mmbtu.

A brief description of off-site, institution-catalyzed, renewable electricity generating devices:

N/A

A brief description of RECs or other similar renewable energy products purchased during the previous year:

For the Park School of Business and Sustainable Enterprise and the Peggy R. Williams Center, Ithaca College purchased Renewable Energy Certificates from Community Energy covering 50% of the estimated total electricity usage for the two buildings for 2 years. This totalled 547,000kWh @$0.0025/kWh = $1,367.50. Community Energy RECs are Green-e certified. 1 kWh = 0.003412 MMBtu therefore the College purchased RECS covering 1866.364 mmBTus for two years, or 933.182 mmBTUs for one year.

A brief description of co-generation technologies deployed:

N/A
