"Green Team" leaders become conversant in the tips for maintaining more sustainable practices in general as outlined in the REMP "Green Office Guide", but also in the sustainability practices unique to the Peggy R Williams Center, the College's second LEED Platinum-certified building.

Ithaca College freely makes available the informational resources and consulting services of the Sustainability at Ithaca program, the Resource and Environmental Management Program interns, the Sustainability Programs Coordinator in Facilities, the campus Energy Manager, and the dining services sustainability interns. Program name (2nd program):
Green Office program

Number of employees served by the program (2nd program):
35

A brief description of how the employee educators are selected (2nd program):

We have offered "rounds" of the Green Office Program, in which participates seek to improve their personal "green" standing - and by engaging a majority of their colleagues in their office, gaining a Green Office certificate. Participants complete an online survey detailing their sustainable behaviors and are rated on an objective scale, earning "participating", "silver", "gold", or "Platinum" status. One office has so far earned the Green Office designation by having more than 50% of their staff participating.

A brief description of the formal training that the employee educators receive (2nd program):

The survey is based upon the regular outreach education given to employees, as covered in the Green Office Guide and other outreach activities (Intercom notices to turn off computing equipment for holiday breaks, as well as signup notices for alternative transportation programs, etc).

A brief description of the financial or other support the institution provides to the program (2nd program):

No financial rewards are given, but each participant who completes the survey receives a certificate with the appropriate color seal (blue for participating, bronze, silver, gold) based upon earned points as well as a letter of appreciation copied to their boss, and an Intercom electronic message board "kudo" post that is publicly viewable.
