A brief description of the program, including an indication of its scope (e.g., the number of bicycles the program makes available, participation levels, etc.):

JMU's bicycle-sharing program was a student run program for over two years (See ER-T2-1). Sixteen bicycles were available to students during the academic year at no cost. The loan period was two weeks. The student group reported that most of the bicycles were often on loan. The student group concluded in early 2013 and the university recreation department began renting bicycles at low cost on a weekly basis.
