In addition to JCCC's low tuition, we offer a payment plan, Veterans benefits, Federal Pell Grants, Work Study programs and scholarships from our college foundation in which financial need is considered. The Financial Aid office assists students in seeking all sources of funding to facilitate college attendance.

A brief description of the institution’s programs to guide and prepare students and families from low-income backgrounds for higher education:
Parents are encouraged to attend New Student Orientation with their students that plan to enroll. Orientations outside of the 9-5 and onlines are available as well. Issues dealing with financial aid, books, advising, student services and student registration and campus tours are covered in this program. FAFSA days are conducted to assist students and parents in completing the Federal Pell Grant.
The Parent Welcome page offers useful instructional videos on entering college to help students and families prepare for college.

JCCC has scholarship and resources for students who apply and qualify through the college’s foundation office. The college awards over $54 million dollars in financial aid monies each academic year including Pell Grants that are need based. We also offer scholarships for students who have been in foster care - the Linda K. Houston Random Acts of Kindness scholarship.

Kansas Senate Bill 155 allows JCCC to waive the cost of tuition for high school students who meet residency requirements. This only applies to certain career technical courses. Eligible courses are marked in the class search. So, before you enroll, check the class search for course and status changes.

The David Stallings Family, Harry and Bertha Sarachek, M.R. and Evelyn Hudson, and Ben and Evadean Craig Scholarships all offer financial support to parents, as does the Childcare Assistance Grant.
