Student educators are selected based on their expression of interest in the cause of sustainability and their willingness to serve the university in this capacity.


A brief description of the formal training that the student educators receive (1st program):

This program was new as of the Fall of 2011. The students thus far have received training in the area of recycling, including a presentation by an outside recycling consultant. Plans for the Spring include some formal training in native prairie plant identification and care.

The Student Sustainability Reps are coordinated by Professor Leslie Kruser. The University provides funding to this program through the Student Sustainability Committee.
