KCC's recycling program is comprehensive and includes paper, cardboard, plastics, pallets, books, aluminum vans, scrap metal, batteries, fluorescent bulbs and lamp ballasts, cell phones, electronic waste, and glass. 86% of the books are repurposed by Better World Books, and 76% of the electronic waste is repurposed by World Computer Exchange.
