A brief description of the program:
Some of "Pokezemi" (Pocket Seminar/ small group seminar for freshman) are outdoor education primarily provided by Field Science Education and Research Center, Kyoto University. Kyoto University has academic tradition of knowledge based on fieldwork.
The center has marine laboratories and experiment forests in various regions in Japan and conducts "Pokezemi" classes in the field outside classroom. Each forest or lab has guidelines for no trash or no take policies.
