Lakeland Community College has a memorandum of understanding with Lake County that splits responsibilities of storm water management and pollution prevention between the county and Lakeland Community College for the campus property. Lakeland is in charge of construction and post construction erosion and run-off control as well as campus pollution prevention and good housekeeping including but not limited to parking areas, roadways, waste disposal areas, maintenance and storage facilities and snow disposal areas.
