Vital: Volunteers in Tutoring at Lawrence (VITAL) is a volunteer based organization addressing an important issue of education, social equity, and wellbeing. It is the only free k-12 tutoring in Appleton. Lawrence provides the space and the materials for students in the community to come get tutored in any subject by Lawrence students. Lawrence students will have to adapt to the individual children to work with them in the most efficicent ways. This addresses sustainability in education for students in the Appleton area, but also sustainability for the Lawrence students as they make a difference in another student's life.

LUNA (Lawrence University Native Americans) went to Albuquerque, NM last year and did some volunteering with school age native children.
In 2013 BSU ( Black Student Union) went to South Padre Island, TX and did some volunteering with the Sea Turtles.
