A brief description of the campus climate assessment(s) :

The University wants to know the perceptions, opinions, and experiences regarding a number of topics such as classroom experiences, satisfaction, discrimination, workplace and educational environment depending on when it appears that knowing the information on the surveys will be helpful.


Has the institution assessed student diversity and educational equity?:
Yes

A brief description of the student diversity and educational equity assessment(s):

Student diversity and educational equity were assessed in the campus climate survey in 2013 through topics of satisfaction of Lawwrence, diversity of gender, race/ethnicity, origin, sexual orientation, disabilities, and religious beliefs. The assessment also looks into how people have changed in their perceptions of diversity since they came to Lawrence. It also questions if students feel like they are treated respectfully and equally regardless of any way they identify themselves at Lawrence. Some have specific dates for when the survey will take place like the survey on sexual harrassment survey that was done in 2015. It will be administered again in 2017.

Yes

A brief description of the employee diversity and employment equity assessment(s):

The last staff climate survey was in 2014, and it asked questions on communication and morale, job satisfaction, employment equity, employment diversity (sexual, physical, mental, langauage, religious affliation, racial and ethnic backgrounds, political perspectives, age, and socioeconomic backgrounds), and sources of stress. Seven additional open-ended questions were asked at the end of the survey.

Yes

A brief description of the governance and public engagement assessment(s):

The staff climate survey in 2014 also assessed goverance and public engagement through questions about the Lawrence mission statement and administration.
