Sustainable compensation for Loyalist employees is ensured through collective agreements for two bargaining groups: support staff and academics. In addition, the compensation structure for administrative staff is governed by the College Employer Council which provides guidelines for administrative compensation on an annual basis. Loyalist offers comprehensive and competitive group pension and benefit plans as well as employee assistance programs. Rates for regular part-time staff are reviewed every three years.

Full-time and partial load faculty as well as full time support staff at Loyalist are unionized, with compensation and benefits governed by their respective collective agreements (OPSEU Local 420 and 421).

With regard to non-union wage rates, the College Employer Council conducts regular market analysis to ensure competitive salaries in the College sector. Rates for regular part-time staff are reviewed every three years.

Majority of the regular staff positions at the College are unionized, with compensation and benefits governed by their respective collective agreements (OPSEU Local 420 and 421).

For part-time employees, rates are reviewed every three years. Part-time employees are provided with the opportunity to join the College’s pension plan. Part-time employees are not eligible for benefits.

For temporary (non-regular) employees, rates are reviewed every three years. They are also provided the opportunity to join the group pension plan.
