Pre and Post Consumer Dining Waste Dversion

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

Loyola Marymount University implemented a process to achieve near zero Waste Kitchen Status for pre and post consumer waste Diversion. Teh practice combines all dining waste aggregation to achieve a 76% kitchen waste diversion through Emulsification and Dehydration. This has resulted in all trash cans removed from the dining room and pre and post consumer kitchen adn dining waste is converted to compostable material and is available to support the community Garden and Bio Feed companies. Also using this program to capture dining waste in the residence life halls as a pilot program
