In Summer of 2016, a group of faculty and support staff convened for a set of meetings to discuss appropriate sustainability learning outcomes. Using existing literature and examples from other campuses, the group defined a set of learning outcomes to be used in evaluating courses, curriculum and research.
A survey in January of 2017 was distributed to all instructional faculty and employees and they self-reported if they taught courses during the current academic year that provided resources to meet any of these learning outcomes. These results were then used to estimate total sustainability courses and sustainability-related courses.
The courses identified in the survey were highlighted in the overall list provided by the registrar for all courses taught in AY17 (Fall, Winter, JTerm, Spring, Summer Terms). Also courses that were known to incorporate sustainability were identified. This was done by core curriculum requirements and departmental requirements.

If a course was identified by the faculty member to address one or more of the sustainability learning outcomes, it was considered sustainability related (1 or 2 outcomes) or sustainability focused (3+). This list was then cross-referenced with the full list of courses provided by the registrar to create the full count of courses.
The attachment provides the key for the learning outcomes on page 1.
On pages 1-11 you see the list of each sustainability-focused and -related courses and their descriptions, based on results of the survey and learning outcomes faculty identified as pertaining to the courses.
On pages 11+ you see each offering of the above-mentioned list of courses, which was used to determine the course counts above.
