Yes

A brief description of the assessment(s):

The Your First College Survey (completed by first-year students) and College Senior Survey (completed by senior students), are administered every three years at Luther. Both surveys include questions that address the individual's opinions of and personal experiences with diversity and equity before and during their time at Luther.
Luther also administers the National Survey of Student Engagement every three years, which includes similar questions. (The NSSE was last administered in spring 2008.) Together these three surveys are used to create an overall assessment of diversity at Luther College.

Year the assessment was last administered:
2,010

A brief description of how the results of the assessment(s) are used in shaping policy, programs, and initiatives:

Luther's Diversity Center reviews relevant findings in Your First College Year Survey (YFCY), the College Students Survey (CSS) and the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), which provide feedback on the overall diversity, equity, and cultural competency of the campus. The LDC uses that information to help plan new programs and activities related to diversity, such as using the IDI as a learning activity in courses related to diversity. It is also used as evidence to promote new policies and initiatives within departments and across campus.
