A brief summary of papers, guides, presentations, and other resources the institution has developed to share their sustainability experience with other institutions:

The Sustainability Manager has been an actively working with other higher education institutions to advance sustainability. She is a steering committee member of the Upper Midwest Assoc for Campus Sustainability (UMACS) and co-organized the annual conference in 2010 and led two workshop sessions. She also co-organized a series of
climate action planning workshops in 2009 the UMACS. In addition, she has presented conference papers on campus sustainability to the Ecological Society of America annual meeting (2009), The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (2009). In addition, she was on the workshop planning team for an Accredited Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) sustainability in the curriculum faculty development workshop held at Luther College in 2010. She also traveled to Grinnell College in 2010 to advise them on campus sustainability issues.

Macalester College has been a leader in campus sustainability. The Sustainability Manager regularly presents at regional and national sustainability conferences and is a regular speaker at campus sustainability events at other schools.
