Earth Common Journal (ECJ) is an international, undergraduate, peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for students to communicate a diversity of ideas and information on issues concerning conservation, sustainability, and climate change. Earth Common Journal is published by the MacEwan University Bachelor of Communication Studies program. It is published annually in September, with its inaugural issue released in 2011. Earth Common Journal accepts articles from all disciplines, and includes research projects that are empirical, qualitative, creative, and interdisciplinary in content and approach. For the past four years ECJ has been developed as a learning tool for students and faculty to research and publish articles on issues related to sustainability. It is a student-driven, peer-reviewed, online, international journal providing a communication network for sustainability. Its publications enable awareness, build community, both internally and externally, connect affiliates, and unite sustainability structures.
