In September 2014 MacEwan University established a multi-stakeholder Sustainability Investment Tactic Group (SITG). The SITG is mandated to:
- review best practices and examples of sustainability investment across the Higher Education sector;
- develop materials and case studies to educate about sustainability investment and will attempt to quantify the impact of options and recommendations;
- produce a set of recommendations on sustainability investment strategies for the President and Vice Presidents Group to recommend to the Investment Committee for consideration.

The Sustainability Investment Tactic Group (SITG) met for the 1st time in September 2014 to define its mandate and review a list of potential sustainability investment options. The SITG will continue to meet regularly to progress on delivering its mandate.
