Legal & Ethical Aspects: Health and Social Services.
Health care system in Quebec, the federal and provincial law relevant to it. Explores relationships between civil and criminal law, law and medicine, law and ethics. Major legislation, case law and legal writings will be presented. Addresses human rights, professional responsibility, civil, criminal liability and dilemmas raised by new technologies.

Topics in Citizenship and Social Engagement.
This course provides students with a chance to reflect on social change as it pertains to the current Quebec landscape. Participants will work with an instructor who will lead them to consider the various bodies that make up Quebec's social change movements and the impact which their involvement in these movements could have on their lives and the lives of others. Material covered will be grounded in global concepts on citizenship and social engagement, linking theory with practice as witnessed by history.

Exploring leadership within a global and diverse context. A variety of trends that have made managing workforce diversity an essential competency for future leaders are reviewed, as are the emerging skills that managers need to develop to succeed in a global environment.

The continuing education certificate in "Integrated and Adaptive Water Resources Planning, Management and Governance" offered by the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences takes a holistic look at water resources management at the watershed and sub-watershed level with a specific focus on watershed planning techniques, adaptive management strategies, capacity building approaches, water governance, and water business risk assessment to strengthen integrated water resources management capacities globally. This program is offered online over 8 weeks, and is part of Macdonald Campus' continuing professional development programs.
