Messiah College has recently partnered with Mennonite Central Committee MCC) to ensure a sustainable move out program for students. MCC provided trailers for students to put unwanted items into upon the end of the academic year. MCC will sort these items and recycle or repurpose them as they see appropriate.

The Office of Sustainability is partnering with the city of Harrisburg to develop a working committee on food security. One of the first projects will be leveraging community stakeholders in developing a community kitchen.

The office of sustainability and dining services partners with Bethesda Mission as part of our food recovery efforts. Bethesda mission serves hot meals for food insecure communities and is a well known CBO in the harrisburg area.
