A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :

There are multiple opportunities for MSU employees to take advantage of professional development opportunities.

Currently specific opportunities are available through Faculty and Organizational Development in terms of Sustainability Learning Communities. This group is led by a faculty member and those who choose to engage come together monthly to discuss issues of sustainability and potential collaborations.

Residential and Hospitality Services requires sustainability training for all of their new staff and engages a division-wide committee to continuously identify areas of improvement.

A new, online program called elevateU became available to all MSU faculty and staff in 2014. It offers a diverse library of content on thousands of topics in multiple formats. The program currently offers over 60 components (books, videos, lessons, etc.) that are focused on sustainability.
