During the Orientation activity fair, there are a variety of tables that address different components of sustainability. The Sustainability Center has a table and checks in with each student regarding different programs on campus, including waste reduction and energy conservation opportunities. Reusable giveaways are incorporated into tabling. Student Orientation Leaders also host a table that distributes universal bus passes and gives information about public transit. All students participate in zero-waste meals during orientation.
The Sustainability Coordinator and Farm Manager also host a presentation, followed by Q&A, for sustainability resources on and off campus.
New spring semester students are provided with a screening of a welcome video that includes the Sustainability Coordinator's introduction and overview of Mills sustainability resources.
