MSUM's stormwater management plan will institute an education program, initiate public participation, illicit discharge detection and elimination, control construction site runoff, and prevent pollution.

MSUM is required by state law to maintain a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, which reduces impact of impervious surfaces on the local watershed.
