We are taking several steps to ensure our campus is inclusive and safe for students with visual impairments, all of which have contributed to our recent award. Some of the actions include up-to-date information regarding any physical barriers occurring on campus via blog entries and direct emails to students affected. The Access Technology Center is a great resource for visually impaired students can get textbook conversions and other assistance directly on campus. We also have a full-time specialized staff member dedicated to meeting the needs of this student population in a timely fashion.
