Mohawk College is home to a 48-spot secured bike parking facility. This facility is available to all Mohawk staff and students who cycle to campus.The David Bradley Athletics Recreation Centre has shower facilities for bicycle commuters to use.

The College offers free bike loans to staff and students from our main building and residence. Our main facility has 5 bikes, while the residence operates another 1. In 2013, bikes were used for 154 days. The climate in our region, and infrastructure in the City, isn't the most conducive to winter cycling which limits the practicality during those times of the year.

The College has two transit related programs:
1) All full-time students pay a termly fee to enroll in the Universal Bus Pass program, which allows them unlimited use of local transit in the City of Hamilton. Students can also receive stickers to travel on regional transit at a discounted rate.

2) Between 2012 and 2015 the College piloted a discounted transit pass program in partnership with Smart Commute for staff, allowing them to purchase a monthly adult local transit pass for 75% of face value.

Any 2+ Mohawk students or staff commuting together can purchase a carpool permit. Proof of access to 2 or more separate vehicles must be provided.
• Carpoolers save 50% or more off parking and commuting through cost sharing
• Vehicles with valid carpool parking permits receive preferred parking in the P10 Carpool Zone (front row)
• Carpool permits include 4 emergency day passes per semester (one per month) in case your carpool partner is unavailable

Mohawk also promotes carpool matching for students and employees through Smart Commute Hamilton's CarpoolZone.ca tool. Program is promoted at the beginning of each term, during region-wide events (Carpool Week, Smart Commute Week), and through internal sites.

Mohawk College has a partnership with Student Carshare. Student Carshare members have 24/7 access to a network of KIA vehicles with gas, insurance and road assistance included. There are currently two vehicles stationed at Fennell campus. This program helps to reduce the number of vehicles on the road and parking demand on campus.

Mohawk has two level 2 electric vehicle recharging stations on campus capable of charging up to 4 vehicles at a time. These stations are accessible to any student or employee commuter through a special parking pass designated for the charging stations.

A Compressed Work Week Agreement is an agreement between the College, the Union, and the staff member, which allows the parties to implement more flexible hours of work. Staff may request a compressed work week and such requests may be
granted, provided that the College and the Union approve such requests.
