The NYU Climate Action Plan describes the university's plans to track emissions from funded air travel for University business or for teaching and research purposes.
A centralized framework is under development to track distances traveled by faculty and staff, as well as sample or otherwise estimate total emissions from air travel, in order to account for this component of the university's operational impact on climate change in future greenhouse gas inventories.
