A brief description of how the institution ensures that its lowest-paid workers (including contractors, if applicable) receive sustainable compensation:

The salaries for the full time administrative employees are set by provincial benchmarks. The academic and support staff wages are determined through collective bargaining and the college council negotiate and do market surveys to ensure wages are aligned with comparative groups. The college also offers comprehensive and competitive group pension, benefit plans and employee assistance programs. Niagara College ensures all part time employees are provided a liberal wage and it is benchmarked against external groups. Also, the Niagara College pay equity plan ensures women are paid comparatively to men.
