A brief summary of papers, guides, presentations, and other resources the institution has developed to share their sustainability experience with other institutions:

Niagara College has documented information available on the sustainability website outlining the environmental management system that was implemented, sustainability related projects and other information. Some of these include waste reduction guides, sustainability guides, residence training modules and other resources to help engage and educate students and employees.


The names of local, state, regional, national, and other campus sustainability organizations or consortia in which the institution participates and/or is a member:

Niagara College has joined the Ontario College and University Sustainability Professionals (OCUSP) which was established to for the purpose of sharing information, experiences and best practices among Ontario Colleges and Universities. Niagara College is also a signatory of the Pan-Canadian Protocol for Sustainability which was developed by the Association of Canadian Community Colleges in 2007. Niagara College is among 57 colleges around Canada to sign on to the protocol as of 2010. The Pan-Canadian Protocol for Sustainability signatories agree to provide leadership to their internal and external communities and to maximize contributions to a sustainable future.

Niagara College is partnered with the Niagara Sustainability Initiative which focuses on enhancing sustainability and improving economic performance in the Niagara Region through best practice sharing. There are other educational institutions that are also partnered with Niagara Sustainability Initiative.
