Flynn the Therapy Dog

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome :

Since 2013, Flynn the Australian Labradoodle has worked in the Main Campus health services office with Linda Shaw, who is his owner and is NAIT’s Immunization and Wellbeing Consultant. Flynn is NAIT's first resident, certified assisted therapy dog. He is typically at NAIT 3 times per week and it is estimated that he has approximately 200 interactions on campus per month. He assists with student counseling, attends campus events, has an active presence on Twitter, and helps to promote stress relief and wellness in the NAIT community
