A brief description of the vegan dining program, including availability, sample menus, signage and any promotional activities (e.g. “Meatless Mondays”):

Food Services offers vegetarian options and specialty food for restricted diets in our grab and go sections, salad bars, hot food stations and franchises. Catering services offers hot and cold meal selections for all special dietary needs including vegetarian and vegan.
School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts: We offer a vegan special in our Dining Room.


A brief description of other efforts the institution has made to reduce the impact of its animal-derived food purchases:

Sustainability policy includes animal husbandry as a key issue for NAIT when selecting vendors.
Hired a Registered Dietitian to increase the availability of vegetarian/meat-free alternatives. Meatless Monday are a component to our menu planning.
