The Canadian College Sustainable Building Consortium was established in 2010, with NSCC hosting representatives from Durham College, Lethbridge College, and Okanagan College. During the initial meeting each institution gave a presentation of sustainability initiatives at their respective campus. The objective of the get-together was to meet counterparts from Colleges across the country, and to share ideas in support of creating sustainable College environment.

A brief summary of additional ways the institution collaborates with other campuses to advance sustainability :

Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE)
NSCC is a member of AASHE. NSCC representatives have attended/presented at the annual conference every year since 2012. The objective of the conference is to attend educational sessions relating to sustainability in post-secondary institutions, and to share ideas with other colleges and universities to help build campus sustainability.

In May 2015, NSCC co-hosted the Canadian College and University Environmental Network annual conference attracting educators, learners and industry from across Canada. The CCUEN's mission is to facilitate communication, information sharing and collaborative action among post-secondary environmental educators. The conference brings together educational institutions from across the country to promote and discuss sustainability.
