A brief description of the institution’s programs that help increase the diversity of higher education faculty :

Mentoring Program: Multicultural Student Affairs has developed a unique campus mentoring program that identifies and nurtures Clara Luper and American Indian scholarship recipients who aspire to obtain a career in higher education. This program seeks to recruit our brightest and most capable current scholars along with faculty and departmental staff in order to establish a pipeline of professionals in higher education. This program cannot replace continued recruitment efforts, with regards to minority faculty, but it could enhance those efforts significantly.

There is also a program called "Grow Your Own." Students have been placed in internships across campus to expose them to working on the OCU campus.

50 StuPro positions have been funded, where students work in a part-time professional position with a mentor. Some are engaged in academic research projects, and several have been hired for professional staff positions after graduation.
