Onondaga Community College collaborates with other campuses on sustainability issues. Onondaga's director of sustainability, Sean Vormwald, recently participated on the planning committee for the Power of Green SUNY sustainability conference in September 2011. In addition to assisting with the conference coordination, Vormwald moderated a panel discussion on engaging campus stakeholders in sustainability issues. Onondaga also presented at the SUNY Physical Plant Administrators conference to discuss the College's innovative Sustainable Landscape Master Plan.
