Onondaga offers incentive grants and sabbatical release time to assist faculty with developing sustainability-related curriculum. Faculty members have received President's Incentive Grants to work on sustainability-related projects, and have been granted sabbatical leave to develop sustainability-related courses.


A brief description of the incentives that faculty members who participate in the program(s) receive:

The President's Incentive Grant program offers funding for faculty development. Faculty have used this program to fund sustainability-related projects on campus. Release time and sabbaticals have also been granted to faculty to allow them to develop sustainability-related curriculum. Additionally, Onondaga offered a series of sustainability curriculum mini-grants for faculty that resulted in the development of several new sustainability related courses and sustainability units within existing courses.
