Does the institution have a sustainability plan that meets the criteria for this credit?:
Yes

A brief description of how multiple stakeholder groups were involved in developing the plan:

During the formation of the sustainability plan, the PLU Women’s Center, Diversity Center, and Sustainability Office collaborated to create a cohesive set of goals for sustainability.

A brief description of the plan’s measurable goals :

In the past ten years, the percentage of students of color has increased 8 percent, (13 to 21 percent) and our faculty and staff of color have increased 2 percent (14 to 16 percent). Using these benchmarks, PLU plans to continue diversifying both student and staff/faculty populations by 2020.

A brief description of how progress in meeting the plan’s goals is measured:

In terms of students, PLU is committed to supporting the development of academic skills for students who have a varying range of academic readiness. In the same vein, students will be allowed to employ varied approaches to their degree completion. Student services for both academic and financial needs will be augmented. (p. 32 PLU 2020)

Faculty diversity will be fostered through allowing different types of scholarship and research to be pursued. Workshops aimed at continuing faculty development focused on timely topics is another goal.
