Title or keywords related to the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Green Dishware

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:

The Office of Sustainability administers the Green Dishware program, which makes small and large plates, cups, and utensils available for check out and use by students, faculty and staff. The dishware is made of 100% recycled materials and can be checked out free of charge for any event.

A brief description of any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation (if not reported above):

The green dishware was purchased in the 2014 -2015 school year, but only advertised to the Pitzer community in the spring semester. In that semester, the dishware was checked out eight times. This program helps contribute to sustainability by avoiding the costs and waste generation associated with the purchase and use of disposable dishware and cutlery.
