The East & West Residence Halls' greywater system collects and treats water from showers and sinks. This greywater provides all the irrigation for the landscaping around the residence halls, up to 90,000 gallons per month.

Retrofit practices include the installation of: waterless urinals across the entire campus, hydration stations to minimizes plastic bottle waste stream, and low-flow shower heads and faucets in all residence halls.

Water efficient landscape design practices include the installation of drip and micro- spray irrigation systems, and landscaping with drought tolerant plants across the majority of the campus.
