A brief description of the pre-consumer food waste composting program:
Princeton Dining Services has a modest program for the Forbes Garden, which is located directly outside one our college dining operations. Vegetable and fruit trimmings are separated in the kitchen and available for the volunteers working in the garden, as needed. The remainder of our pre-consumer food waste is provided to a local pig farmer who picks up food waste daily.
