The principles of sustainability have been integrated into the University’s Outdoor Action (OA) orientation
program. In 2011, OA, the largest outdoor orientation program in the United States, enrolled 820 freshmen (63
percent of the class of 2015) from 37 countries. The program helps to build environmental consciousness among
all participants.
